FOLDS Wear FAQ

How are FOLDS scrubs antiviral, antibacterial, and antimicrobial?

Our garments contain proprietary technology that works with the micro-particles in the yarn and releases silver ions to interact with viruses. Our garments have a unique antiviral mechanism that stops the culturing of the virus on the garment and prevents it from being inhaled via microfibre release

How do the scrubs self-clean and remain sterile?

Using nanotechnology we fused a high dose of silver ions into every yarn of our fabric making FOLDS Wear products permanently self-cleaning and resistant to viruses and bacteria. There are no chemicals or solvents used on our fabrics, and nothing gets washed off.

Can I wear FOLDS scrubs in the operating room?

Yes! FOLDS scrubs are made from antiviral, antimicrobial, and antibacterial fabric. If you get bodily fluids on your scrubs, you can feel safer knowing that our scrubs help stop the culturing of viruses and bacteria on the garment. Our fabric has zero microfibre release (no lint in the air) keeping the air clean —they’re perfect for the operating room. This is what keeps them sterile.

What kind of fabric is used to make FOLDS scrubs?

FOLDS scrubs are made from recycled materials, including post-consumer waste, carpets, and airbags. We help keep landfills clean.

What do “circular” scrubs mean?

Your scrubs are recyclable! Through recycling and the repolymerization of old scrubs, more yarn is spun and knitted into fabric to make FOLDS scrubs. This is our commitment to reducing the problem of waste and overconsumption!

Who is FOLDS for?
